Dan Elliott - As a founding partner of Affiliated Marketing Group, he is actively involved in all aspects of day to day operations.  Dan received his degree in Economics from the University of South Carolina in 1984.  After spending the first seven years of his career on the carrier side of the business, Dan left to join the R.E. Lee Group before founding AMG 1993.  Dan is experienced in many areas of advanced sales and often works with agents and their clients on a variety of planning solutions that include Qualified Plans, Deferred Compensation and Estate Planning.  

 

Ed Massey - A founding partner in Affiliated Marketing Group, Ed has been involved in the financial services industry since 1978.  Starting in personal sales he has a true understanding of the needs of the writing agent.  With a background in computer systems and office operations, he is responsible for the operational support needed to give AMG the resources necessary to respond to those agent needs.  In his spare time Ed has a love affair with a horse named Megan and is an avid fan of LSU and Baylor sports.

 

Larry Bartee - Partner Emeritus.  Larry helped to found Affiliated Marketing Group and after his retirement in 2006 remains an important part of our culture.  Larry resides with his wife Betty in Katy, Texas.

 

Our Staff

Steve Gresso - is a graduate of Southwest State University. Steven joined the insurance profession in 1986 as a Brokerage Manager with R.E. Lee of Houston, until the sale of the company in 1994. He joined the Shaw Company in 1994 as a Brokerage Manager  and then, subsequently with Bisys after their purchase of Shaw Company in 2002.  Steven joined Affiliated Marketing Group in 2004 where he specializes in Life Insurance, LTC, Qualified Plans and Annuities.  Areas of interest include Estate Planning, Business Insurance and Continuation Planning, Deferred Compensation Plans, Qualified Plans and Planning for Senior’s. 

 

Shelly Sedberry - represents Affiliated Marketing Group as a marketing specialist and outside sales consultant. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Shelly moved to Houston, Texas in 1995 and has over 12 years of insurance experience, including sales, service, claims, case management, underwriting and enrolling. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Houston Association of Health Underwriters since June 2006. Her primary areas of expertise are in the small group health and ancillary market as well as the individual health market, but she will be glad to assist you in all areas to help you develop your business.

 

Stacy Sedberry -  Stacy Sedberry represents Affiliated Marketing Group as an outside Sales Consultant.  She has been in the group insurance business since 1996.  She will work with you in all areas related to insurance while assisting agents in developing new sources of revenue for their business.  Prior to joining Affiliated Marketing Group in 2005, Stacy worked for Humana Small Group Sales as a Manager of Sales Administration, then as a Sales Executive.   She presently serves on the board of The Houston Association of Health Underwriters. 

Stacy was born in Albuquerque, NM and moved to Houston in 1994.  Outside of work she spends much of her time with friends and family.

 

Jonnell Aguilar – is a life insurance new business case manager and acts as your personal assistant, helping you get your submitted business placed.  She works directly with the carriers utilizing our SmartOffice© technology to electronically submit and track cases throughout the underwriting process.  Jonnell is very energetic, enjoys learning about the insurance industry and is actively furthering her education through LIMRA.

 

Heather Matias - Heather comes to AMG and Houston from a diverse background which includes real estate, utilities, and even culinary management.  She has always had a passion for technology and learning and is putting both to good use since being employed with Affiliated Marketing in 2006. She has grown into the industry quickly putting her problem solving and analytical skills to the test processing various requests from our agents. With a knack for organization she has set a standard for efficiency among our colleagues.  In her off time she enjoys taking in all of the cultures Houston has to offer as well as all things musical.

 

Tina Riffle specializes in the Occupational Accident Market by assisting agents with the quotation and sale of nonsubscriber business. Tina provides technical expertise to agents and their clients when evaluating workers comp to alternative coverages and provides assistance with the proper procedures on how to become a nonsubscriber.
